Develop practical acting and audition skills students can immediately use in school productions and competitions.
In this week long camp, we will cover stage presence, character development, audition techniques, cold reading, scene study, improvisation, emotional expression, and physical storytelling through fun games and engaging activities!
Why Perform with a Group?
For students in grades 7–12, theatre is about much more than learning lines and performing on stage. Working as part of an ensemble teaches valuable life skills that extend far beyond the rehearsal room.
Through group performance experiences, students learn how to collaborate, communicate effectively, and support one another toward a common goal. They develop confidence by taking creative risks, problem-solving in real time, and sharing their ideas in a supportive environment. As students work together to bring stories to life, they build friendships, strengthen leadership skills, and gain a sense of belonging that is often difficult to find elsewhere.
Performing with a group also helps students become stronger communicators. Whether speaking in front of an audience, participating in class discussions, interviewing for jobs, or leading future projects, the confidence gained through theatre can have a lasting impact.
Perhaps most importantly, ensemble theatre teaches students that every role matters. Success is built through trust, commitment, and teamwork—lessons that prepare young people not only for future performances, but for success in school, careers, and life.

Sample Daily Structure
1:00-1:20: Warm ups
1:20-2:15: Acting technique
2:15-2:30: Scene Work
3:15-4:00: Audition and improv skills
4:00-4:15: Break
4:15-5:00: Applied activities and feedback
$85 for one child
+$65 for second child
+$50 for each additional child
An introduction to the fundamentals of theater through games, creativity, storytelling and acting.
All 7-12 students are welcome. Camp will be held at BCLUW High School Auditorium. (Cash/check for payment.)
